About the Willis Cup
The Willis Cup will now be an annual touch rugby competition hosted by Wuhan’s premier rugby club, Wuhan Baiji. This cup holds a special place for the expat community in Wuhan, as one of its treasured members, Willis Gibson, tragically passed away in 2026. This tournament will now be an annual competition held in his honour. Many of the founding Hubei Harps’ members were friends with Will, and for this reason we will switch codes to enter a team every year to commemorate our dear friend.
